The owners of this small urban lot wanted to construct a detached accessory dwelling unit nestled between two mature western redcedar trees in their backyard. We were involved early in the design process (which is always the most effective!)  and conducted air excavation to estimate root loss. Once we had confirmed tree impacts, we were able to provide tree protection recommendations to ensure trees will be healthy for years to come.
