Specimen Tree: Testing and Management

Following a large scaffold limb failure from this specimen oak tree in a residential backyard, we tested the tree near the failure to identify the extent of decay and the presence of internal cracks. These tests showed sound wood, and provided peace of mind as they chose to retain the tree.
