Our clients include: homeowners, commercial arborists, attorneys, contractors, developers, insurance companies, municipal governments, planners, architects, and landscape architects. We do residential inspections in addition to our work on public property. A large part of our company involves giving back to tree research and education. In 2002 we managed the 11th Annual Tour des Trees for the Tree Research & Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund). The Tour des Trees is a week-long fundraising bicycle tour, raising money for arboricultural research and education. Scott Baker has continued to ride in this event and raise over $50,000 over his 10 years of involvement. We have also continued to donate to the TREE Fund every year by volunteering hours to Seattle's Street Tree Pruning Event. We have offered free lectures and workshops to the public and to professionals about tree biology and tree pruning, trees affected by construction and building tree houses. In 2004 we were involved in bringing Claus Mattheck, an internationally respected tree biomechanics scientist to Seattle for a workshop, and continue to work cooperatively with researchers in Germany and Canada on ground-breaking techniques testing trees for strength and stability. Principal Scott D. Baker is a Registered Consulting Arborist (#414) with the American Society of Consulting Arborists (A.S.C.A.), a Certified Arborist (PN-0670A) under the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certification Program and a Certified Tree Risk Assessor, with over 30 years experience in arboriculture. A successful developer of urban historic building renovations and a residential community, Scott utilizes knowledge of site management issues, building codes, site design, and construction. He is interested in furthering the use of science and technology in arboriculture and has embraced new tools and techniques over his career.
